Backpanel

Download a zip file containing all the model files. The total amount of each part that should be made is in the BOM.

Back-panel parts

Tools:

• CNC Laser Cutter (x1)
• 3D Printer (x1)

Materials:

• PLA Filament 1.75mm (x1)
• 650 x 400 x 8 mm Acrylic Sheet (x1) for the back-panel.

Step 1: Cut the backpanel

Cut the backpanel using 8 mm acrylic stock.

A "DXF" file for cutting can be generated from the FreeCAD model of the backpanel.

Step 2: Mount the panel

Parts:

• M4 Drop-In Nut 2020 (x6)
• M4 x 12mm Screw (x6).
  • A 10 mm one may work, and up to 14 mm. Use washers as spacers for longer screws.
• M4 Washer (x6)

Step 3: Make cable bases

Parts, either of:

• Pair of cable base with lever (x2) (source/cable_base-lever.stl).
  • M3 Drop-In Nut 2020 (x2).
  • M3 x 16mm Screw (x3).
  • M3 Hex Nut (x1)
  • M3 Washer (x1)
• Cable base with insert (x0) (source/cable_base-insert.step) (alternative).
